Software Developer

  • Project Lead - Tea Manufacturing Company - Designed an automated Sales Management System, recording sales for all transactions using PHP & stored procedures in MySQL. Automated a report generation process by designing a dashboard to use a custom cron job, extracting and querying data using OracleSQL, and tracking sales reports by date, thereby saving 4 hours of work every week. Negotiated requirements with the client, managed JIRA issues of every task, organized daily scrum meetings.
  • Wellness Center – Designed an end-to-end system integration, automation scripts, and APIs using CodeIgniter (PHP) for a rehab center, created modules for various amenities and a daily planner for a client, which communicated efficiently with other services, thereby saving time and avoiding overlaps.
  • Health Assessment Application – Automated check-in and check-out for hotels/resorts to reduce cycle time from a few minutes to just 10 seconds. Implemented contactless systems for dine-in, laundry, and salon for multiple hotels, thus ensuring COVID-19 safety policies and maintaining social distancing.

Publications

Video-based Micro Expression Recognition using Deep Learning and Transfer


Implemented five pre-trained deep learning models (Xception, ResNet50, VGG19, MobileNetV2, EfficientNetB7) on the MEVIEW (MicroExpression VIdEos in-the-Wild) dataset using transfer learning, achieving the best accuracy of 98.26%, raw-data preprocessed (video to frames), feature extraction and classification of 6 micro expressions.

Research paper presented at ICDSAI-2022 and set to release in SCOPUS indexed SPRINGER PROMS.

Automated Data-Driven Preprocessing and Training of Classification Models


Designed an end-to-end system for easy training of classification models for micro and macro datasets by training the dataset on multiple fine-tuned classification algorithms and neural networks that output a downloadable model with the best accuracy.

Research paper presented at ICCCT’21 and set to publish in IEEE Digital Xplore (Scopus Indexed).

Time Series Analysis and Forecasting of Air Quality in India


Performed analysis on time series air quality data of major cities in India, found trends and patterns in AQI based on seasons, COVID-19, and festivals and their impact on air quality measures.

Forecasted the AQI levels for 2021 using prophet and SARIMAX, giving an absolute mean error of 26.284 and 37.922.

Performed a comparative analysis of AQI for ‘Delhi’ and ‘Bengaluru,’ plotting their correlation using Pearson’s matrix.

Research paper presented at ICACET-21 and set to publish in IOP Journal of Physics: Conference Series.

Stroke Prediction


Implemented four models (Random Forest, XGBoost, AdaBoost, and MLP) on the Stroke Prediction Dataset, achieving best accuracy of 97.67%, extensive preprocessing, handled missing values using SimpleImputer, sampling using ADASYN, and removal of outliers.

A collection of my personal and collaboration projects that I've undertaken over the course of my undergraduate education to explore different fields in Computer Science and narrow down my areas of interest.

Incisive Analysis of Emotional Quotient Based on Audio and Video Data (Final Year Project)


Formulated a three-staged custom test consisting of questions and case studies derived from MSCEIT Tests and approved by doctors to intensively analyze emotion-related abilities such as perception, management, and understanding.

Executed models to detect and extract emotions from speech and audio and extract micro-expressions from videos.

Devised a relative scoring algorithm to output results of three tests i.e., EQ.

Designed an end-to-end school management system catering to all functionalities for 4 entities, Student, Teacher, Parent, Administration.

Implemented features such as attendance manager for teachers that included adding, viewing, and downloading attendance log to Excel.

Other features – daily task manager, library, assignment, course, and schedule management system.

Cowin-alert


A python script to notify the vaccine availibility via email. It uses the Co-Win Public API to fetch the slot details for 18 to 44 and 45+ categories for multiple hospitals in the district of Mumbai. The script on execution hit the API and sends the information via email to the user. On cloning the repository the script can be set up to run periodically using a cloud hosting service or Task Scheduler in case of Windows or using a Crontab in Mac or linux.

Owning the design and implementation of the frontend for the various features of an automated portal (to be used by an NGO) to maintain a patients’ medical records, make appointments, match a patient to a specific doctor, one stop place for all medical needs.
